Jr. Software Developer in Web Solutions for Zymo Research

Zymo Research is a fast-paced, dynamic life science research company in Orange County, CA. We are seeking a Jr. Software Developer in Web Solutions with a keen eye for Web Design to help with our current workload of client-facing and internal projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall maintenance of Shopify E-Commerce platforms including the development of custom apps, themes etc.

• Work closely with the Sr. Software Developer, Marketing team, R&D group leaders and other internal stakeholders to support the growing customer base and business needs

• Develop and design custom Landing Pages, Websites, Applications, Wireframes, and UX/UI experience

• Implement responsive web design in a Shopify theme using Javascript libraries (Bootstrap, ReactJS, Angular, jQuery)

• Participate in agile web development process

• Work in a fast-paced environment

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelors and/or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

• 1-2 years of professional web development experience

• Significant experience with cross-browser front-end development (HTML5, CSS3) and JavaScript libraries including but not limited to Angular, ReactJS, jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.

• Knowledge and experience with e-commerce platforms, including Shopify and Liquid

• Follow best practices for code/system design, documentation and revision control

• Knowledge of Responsive Design best practices

• Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git or TFS

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

• A passion for high quality UX/UI and attention to detail

Pluses

• Knowledge and experience applying SEO best practices

• A/B testing experience

• Experience using APIs and applications for serverless environments

• Experience with restful web services via the HTTP protocol, JSON and web authentication

• Experience with Python and Flask environments
