ZypMedia is looking for a senior software engineer who is self motivated, problem solver and passionate about building scalable real time systems. ZypMedia's platform processes 100billion ad calls every day making a decision every 100ms on which ad to show to which user at what time. 

The candidate will be responsible for back end RTB platform development

Candidate Background and Responsibilities:

• Quick learner, problem solver and most importantly must be passionate about writing quality code. 

• 5+ years experience in C, C++,Unix and writing high performance code.

• Familiarity with Best Practices with C++ 11

• Familiarity with Elastic Map Reduce paradigm is a plus

• Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or other issue ticket management systems

• Understanding of latency monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

• Design, develop, deliver, and support fast, deterministic, and scalable frameworks for all levels of ZypMedia's software stack.

• Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and deliver

• Understanding of TCP/IP and socket programming.

• Should be able to turn ideas into readable, fast and reliable code

• Well versed in Linux operating systems / command line interface

• Comfortable with Agile Development

• Familiarity with test driven development, Git and Jenkins.

• Ability to scale and distribute fault tolerant components across many machines and handle updates to millions of objects in real time.

• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, especially against large datasets.

• Develop highly distributed, concurrent, and reliable systems that can scale to support millions of dollars in ad spend.

• M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
