About the Role:

Autobyzack INC is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing team in Houston, TX! Responsibilities:

Post new vehicle invoices and set up units in inventory

Process used vehicle purchases from auctions, private parties, and other sources, including payoffs and title documentation

Scan all accounting documents

Reconcile new and used vehicle inventory schedules and research out-of-balance items

Support floorplan audits and month-end close

Maintain organized deal and inventory records in line with retention requirements

Assist with other accounting projects as needed

Requirements:

1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Working knowledge of debits, credits, and account reconciliation

Proficiency in Excel (lookups, basic formulas, sorting and filtering)

Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet daily and month-end deadlines

Clear communication and comfort working with sales, F&I, and office staff

High school diploma or equivalent required

Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.

Experience with AUTOMATE or another dealer management system
