    Seeking Project Manager candidates for upcoming contract.

    Estimated to be less than full time varying by task and schedule.

    Possibility to work remotely part-time pending client approval.

    Short term contract position estimated to be 30-45 days (rate shown is for contract with no benefits)

    Job Summary

    The contract will develop purchasing agreements for telecommunication devices (specialized equipment) for certified individuals who are deaf, disabled, or speech/mobility impaired.

    Project Manager Responsibilities

    Execute and Manage Transition-In while maintaining coordination with the client program director.

    Develop draft and final project deliverables using previously approved templates for all project, schedule, risk and issue, contract changes, and document management plans.

    Create and maintain a standard equipment list for the programs.

    Develop and manage criteria and processes for evaluating equipment and services.

    Create reports and conduct client debriefings on aspects of the project within the contract.

    Develop recommendations for equipment, accessories, and services to be tested and added to the program.

    Develop recommendations for the quality of both service provision and the distribution/logistical placement of equipment.

    Schedule and manage project team meetings including status updates to stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    1 year of experience managing the successful transition of State of California contracts from one company to another.

    3 years of previous experience as a Project Manager on State of California projects.

    3 years of State of California experience in supervising project teams of 5 or more people.

    3 years of State of California experience performing project transition activities involving large operational programs.

    5 years of State of California experience as a Project Manager directly responsible for activities involving scope, time, cost, human resources, risk, quality, integration, and communications.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Certification

    Valid PMI PMP certification desired - qualifying State of California experience may be substituted.
