    SUMMARY Responsible for designing and producing company and client communications including brochures, newsletters annual enrollment guides, wellness materials, specialized communication items, and web development. The Communications Consultant also participates in sales meetings and presentations, and helps direct and develop communications staff.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Designs and produces benefit information brochures for clients, including: design, layout and data entry; changes, additions and modifications as requested by department staff or client;
    • Designs and produces employee newsletters highlighting client’s benefits, including: design, layout and data entry; changes, additions and modifications as requested by department staff or client;
    • Creates enrollment forms for annual and on-going enrollment, including: design and layout for manual entry forms; design and layout for on-line entry forms; design and layout for mail-merge forms for annual enrollment;
    • Designs and produces custom communication pieces as requested, including: resource guides, posters, postcards, wallet cards, flyers, special topic pamphlets and brochures;
    • Prints and ships prepared materials to client(s) as requested;
    • Maintains .pdf file archives for both client(s) and company files;
    • Assists with marketing and sales efforts by creating customized sample brochures, event invitations, etc.;
    • Provides MS office and Adobe Acrobat clerical and technical support for the Employee Benefits department;
    • Engages in optimal and appropriate usage of applicable agency management systems;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related area preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 4 - 6 years related work experience.   SKILLS Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing Demonstrated project management and organization skills Ability to multi-task, with close attention to details and meeting deadlines Willingness to take initiative and accept responsibility Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Expert knowledge of in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
