SUMMARY Acts as a liaison between Underwriting and Retail Brokers as well as other internal teams (Marketing, Production, Support) to secure necessary information as required to write business and deliver service excellence. Performs new business coordination for Retail Brokers and SES Underwriters. Responsible for review of all submissions of new business prior to underwriting, and redirection of submission for corrections or clarifications prior to submission to new business underwriting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides assistance to Program Manager and Chief Underwriting Officer with supporting internal marketing reps and external brokers including training, answering program questions and addressing difficult issues; • Works with CUO and Program Manager to define SLAs and produce recurring reports to enforce adherence; • Works with CUO and Program Manager to develop prioritization and assignment protocol, and would be responsible for triaging incoming opportunities for optimal throughput; • Assists in creating the preparations for annual underwriter meeting; • Performs quality checks for the renewal specifications as requested by Program Coordinator; • Works closely with Program Coordinator to develop and implement standards and procedures for new accounts; creates check lists and suspense systems to assure timely flow of submissions, quotes and bind orders; • Manages Retail Broker expectations as relates to the policy change requests that result from policy checking; • Coordinates and manages the stand alone placements for accounts, including Excess Liability, Tenant Legal Liability, and/or other policies; • Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information); • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience  4-6 years related work experience in insurance brokerage industry Valid insurance license, or must be obtained within120 days from date of hire Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal Knowledge of Epic Agency Management System preferred SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills Intermediate typing skills (35-45 wpm) Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork Proficient in Microsoft Office products We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees’ needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
