Mentor and Life Coach to 19 year old student
I am looking for a junior, senior or graduate Student at Texas State to be a life coach/mentor for an incoming sophomore to help her acclimate and optimize her experience at Texas State. The Purpose: -She is an extraordinary 19-year-old girl who most people fall in love with -- who happens to be on the spectrum -Mentorship and friendship are helpful in supporting her to stay busy, engaged and involved The job includes : -Meeting and hanging out with her a minimum of 3 days a week for approximately 2 hours. -Introducing her and joining her to campus and city events, resources and activities -Having coffee, watching sports, going to a community event or club, going to listen to music, watching or going to the movies, hanging by the river, possibly hiking, swimming, gym, running.... She is an amazing 19-year-old girl who is : -studying special education so she can help others -is always up for an adventure -A Christian -Works super hard -Incredibly insightful -determined -spends a lot of time giving back (volunteering) -loves staying busy The right Candidate: -Must be a female student at Texas State -Looking for someone with a strong moral compass that is fun, respectful, compassionate and energetic -Can be studying and interested in everything from the arts to education to political science but important and passionate about knowing who they are and what they want in life -A plus if a Christian and involved in the church or young life
