    POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: Network Administrator

    REPORTS TO: Program Manager

    WORK EXPERIENCE: EIGHT (8) YEARS OF relevant experience preferably in Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) air operations, air traffic control, or airfield operations management.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING: BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, COMPUTER SCIENCE, NETWORK ENGINEERING OR SYSTEMS ENGINEERING.   

    FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT

    REQUIREMENTS: US citizen with current secret security clearance.

    • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building partnerships at all levels within an organization.
    • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability for problem solving and prioritizing multiple projects.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Position Summary:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide information systems engineering expertise dealing with intelligence systems to support the DHS Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC) unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) intelligence mission.
    • Research, recommend, and implement solutions to integrate and share data across programs and platforms (UAS, P-3, DHC-8, etc.).
    • Assist in defining, developing, and implementing user requirements and procedures for processing and utilizing UAS and other intelligence data, prepare user needs analysis, and develop concepts of operations.
    • Provide technical expertise in designing, developing, and implementing data distribution systems to support the AMOC Intelligence mission for users both at the AMOC and at remote locations.
    • Support the operation and maintenance of satellite communications equipment for receipt of airborne sensor data.
    • Provide local support for the certification and accreditation of multiple IT systems.
    • Participate in research and development of new systems, both hardware and software, to meet changing mission requirements.
    • Assist in the research and development of new sensor systems and integration of these sensors to support the intelligence mission.
    • Perform user needs analysis and write requirements specifications for new intelligence requirement.
    • Any other task as assigned by supervisor.
