JOB SUMMARY

Assembles highly technical products, partially or completely, working at a bench or on the assembly line by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Does repetitive light electronic and/or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Confirms that needed parts and tools are available to complete orders for the day
• Must be able to read engineering drawings, control plans, deviations, and build parts according to the production order.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, soldering iron, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. May use a combination of hand, pneumatic, electric, chemical, or hydraulic tools to perform tasks.
• Performs visual inspections using touch, smell, sight, and hearing to validate and confirm product quality, and is held responsible for the quality of assembled parts.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to read and perform basic math calculations easily.
• Ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
• Ability to assemble small technical parts
• Must have strong general mechanical skills.
• Ability to concentrate in a busy work environment and be detail-oriented in order to maintain a high level of quality, keep accurate accounts of time and production, keep production on schedule, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Ability to work with various personalities while maintaining cooperative working relationships.

 

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

 MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; or three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
