    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Bodybuilding.com Director of Business Planning & Strategy will be responsible for leading efforts to elevate the business impact of the team by creating executive level insights as well as drive the creation and monitoring of daily, weekly, quarterly and annual operating plans and metrics. The successful candidate will display extremely strong analytical skills, business acumen, operational rigor and exceptional people/communication skills, maximizing his/her ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally, as well as serve as an internal consultant to the senior leadership team through strategic analysis and data driven business decision making.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and drive the strategic planning process with the Leadership Team
    • Utilize outputs from long-term planning and marketing plans to regularly inform Marketing peers of Business objectives, strategies, and initiatives in order to ensure full alignment of cross-functional teams
    • Support cross-functional teams in development of actionable growth strategies for core and adjacent markets for the Business
    • Create and manage a robust market and competitive research process, including a competitive pricing strategy
    • Contribute to the development of key insights and actionable strategies and tactics, based on market and competitive analysis
    • Analyzes relevant data such as competitive information, industry trends, and historical performance to develop sound forecasts in support of plans
    • Develop business models and manage the process for business case, evaluation and ongoing measurement of programs, projects and new business opportunities
    • Establish the metrics required to measure business performance, and recommend the go-forward strategy to address performance gaps
    • Drive the construction of highly innovative models to analyze new aspects of business performance
    • Coordinate regular weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports
    • Support management of strategic engagements with external consultants

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years of business experience in strategy, strategic planning, strategic marketing, corporate development and/or consulting
    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or similar field required; M.B.A. preferred
    • Experience leading or contributing to strategic plans, competitive analysis, strategic partnerships and/or consulting engagements
    • Ability to analyze and distill complex information, drawing out relevant insights and implications into succinct, easily understood communications
    • Proven ability to develop and understand economic scenarios
    • Strong program management and organizational skills, with experience supporting strategic projects working across multiple stakeholder groups
    • Ability to communicate internally and externally, across all levels of an organization
    • Expert level presentation skills using PowerPoint
    • Expert level data analysis skills using Excel
