    Your Job:

     

    The Director of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) will take a leadership role in integrating sales and demand planning with supply planning globally in order to maximize long-term profitability for the company. The position will play a central role in enabling the company to achieve its strategic objectives and financial goals on an annual basis and long-term.

     

    Your Responsibilities:

     

    • Develop the S&OP vision, strategy and processes based on best-in-class benchmarking within and outside of our industries in support of optimizing margin realization and inventory management. 
    • Become the S&OP thought leader for the organization.  Stay abreast of latest S&OP innovations and approaches and translate into applications to Brooks.
    • Design and implement a globally harmonized S&OP process across the NA, APLA and EMEA regions, across our footwear and apparel categories and across our wholesale and direct channels of distribution.
    • Own and lead the global S&OP process definition and orchestration with the cross-functional team.  Drive to continuous improvement of the process, tools and meetings to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
    • Collaborate with regional sales teams, customer service, product teams, sourcing teams, finance, supply chain and IT teams on a daily basis. 
    • Establish and track S&OP KPIs for S&OP team reflecting overall goals of the S&OP process, e.g. GMROI, inventory turns, working capital productivity, inventory health metrics, etc.
    • Lead and integrate the global demand forecasting, supply planning, and retail analytics teams end-to-end to ensure that the companies financial, competitive and customer objectives are achieved.
    • Develop buy recommendations for approval by COO reflecting assortment and product lifecycle management, inventory management policies and strategic priorities.
    • Manage Brooks’ inventory position to achieve overall inventory objectives including active and inactive inventory while supporting sales plans.  Own the quarterly inventory review process with Finance to establish financial reserves for obsolete inventory.  Develop and execute plans to manage and exit obsolete inventory.
    • Lead strategic initiatives that significantly improve S&OP flexibility and KPIs such as factory and supply chain lead time reductions (e.g. speed programs), production scheduling reviews with factories, integrated forecast management with suppliers, etc. 
    • Lead continuous education processes to ensure broad ongoing organizational support and adoption of the S&OP process.
    • Become the chief champion for the S&OP process across the organization.  Lead change management across cross-functional teams to generate buy-in and adoption of S&OP process.
    • Lead technology selections in support of the S&OP process.  Develop the tools, methods and reporting capability cross-functionally to make decisions consistent with the overall S&OP goals and establish accountability across the supply chain, sales, and finance organizations.
    • Establish Executive S&OP reviews to align stakeholders. 
    • Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, sales, marketing, and product development to align company-wide strategies and tactical plans.
    • Design an audit program to ensure compliance across the organization and measure continued efficacy.
    • Create a culture of continuous learning for the S&OP team, improving daily operations and developing the next generation of leaders.
    • Build S&OP team and develop S&OP talent to create well-rounded team members trained in multiple areas of S&OP.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Educational experience to include bachelor’s degree in operations/engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or related field. MBA or related advanced degree highly preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience in demand/supply planning, operations, financial planning, or sales planning.
    • 7+ years proven success leading a team of individuals in a fast-paced, demanding environment
    • In-depth understanding of strategic business goals and objectives.
    • In-depth understanding of sales, demand and supply planning.
    • Moderate understanding of financial planning.
    • Proven experience in process definition and implementation, as well as change management.
    • Exceptional collaboration skills across the organization.
    • Proven ability to communicate with people at all levels, ranging from analysts to high-level executives.
    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in and commitment.
    • Deep understanding of technology enablement and current technology tools.
    • Strong ability to lead teams and develop organizational talent.
