Job Title: CULTIVATION TECHNICIAN
Cultivation, Operation Grow, LLC Cultivation
Cultivation Reports To: Assistant Team Leads
Division Classification: Non-Exempt
Department Status: Hourly

The Cultivation Representative is responsible for supporting dedicated functions within the cultivation and the team who supports. This individual should understand the corporate initiatives within the cultivation and always strive to work towards the overall goals of the organization. The mission is to produce the highest quality product in a result driven culture. Incremental development should be constant, starting with personal development, but always supporting the team and organization.
This is a team environment where everyone is accountable for the end result. Sometimes we work as a team, sometimes we work individually. Work could be in Veg or Flower.
Responsible for the highest possible standards of work in accordance with the State of Michigan Cannabis regulations and standards set by the company
DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
• Assist with all aspects of growing including watering, fertilization, spraying and testing.
• Plant maintenance, including lifting, inventory management, and reporting on plant health.
• Problem solving. Alerting management to any issues.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
• Working around plant time. They don’t care what day it is, neither do we.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Able to develop and sustain a “lean startup” culture of constant experimentation and learning
• Ensure all state regulations are followed and documentation is prepared and submitted as required.

• Standard office environment but with travel to retail and warehouse environment with artificial lighting and ventilation, and warehouse conditions including:
o Potential for mold exposure
o Potential for allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to the marijuana plants
o Carbon dioxide (CO2) may be encountered. CO2 can displace oxygen at high concentrations. CO2
exposure can cause symptoms such as headache, dizziness, rapid breathing, and increased heart rate; in extreme cases, unconsciousness and death can result.
o The warehouse is properly ventilated, however, marijuana cultivation produces ozone from the chemical reaction of nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds, such as terpenes that are given off from the marijuana plant. Terpenes and nitric oxides can be associated with eye, skin, and mucous irritation. In some people, ozone can cause decreased lung function and/or exacerbate pre-existing health effects, especially in workers with asthma or other respiratory complications. PPE in the form of respiratory protection may be recommended in certain parts of the warehouse.
