RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports
Set and revise standard costs quarterly. Prepare ad hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Prepare month-end reconciliations and roll-forwards for Balance Sheet accounts
Assist in month-end closing, analyze inventory, inventory roll forward
Update standard costs, analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
Investigate and research variances and unreconciled items, prepare journal entries
Analyze Fixed Asset accounts, ensure transactions are accurately categorized
Set up and maintain projects in Oracle ERP to track and report on project expenditures
Be a proactive participant in Oracle ERP expansion, engaging in performing timely training, UAT testing and bringing best practices to the implementation table
Be familiar with working in multiple currencies and accurately reflecting FX effects
Assist with annual audit, audit schedules, tax schedules, and others
Assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 implementation
Be a team member and pitch in to help with any task where needed
Be flexible
Ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to communicate and escalate problems along with proposed solution
Ensure financial information is kept confidential
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Public Accounting experience a plus
Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
Strong organizational and communication skills
Automotive or manufacturing industry background preferred
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
