    JOB PURPOSE:

    Canoo represents a sea change in the auto industry.  We are redefining urban mobility. We aspire to nothing less than the liberation of like-mind tribes from the conventional auto ownership and design. We are a flexible subscription-based electric vehicle company with a unique business model.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Brand Voice

    • Partner with leaders and other cross-functional teams to elevate brand visual identity and brand tone across all consumer touch points

    • Set the strategic vision of content creation and consumer targeting laddering back to brand strategy that includes multi-media and platform specific content with clear creative deliverables, timelines and budgets

    • Develop and articulate Canoo's content cadence for launch so messaging is consistent and compelling across all digital channels

    • Articulate current and future brand pillars, product architecture and philosophies and content buckets / areas of focus and differentiation

    • Could include elevating engagement beyond product and sustainability into lifestyle and attitude

    Measurement & Market

    • Continually evaluate the health of the global brand through performance tracking, sales, social listening, etc. and put plans in place to address challenges and opportunities
    • Measure, analyze and optimize what's working and what isn't regarding the brand's content marketing efforts

    Creative Content Strategy + Brand Ambassadors

    • Take a leadership role in the ideation, identification and execution of partnerships (e.g., auto influencers, artists, musicians, complementary brands, etc.)
    • Keep abreast of emerging partners, innovations, talent, platforms and tools and provide recommendations
    • Begin and sustain a conversation with “like-minded followers” about the challenges giving rise to new mobility solutions
    • Plan and deliver influencer campaigns including paid amplification strategy across all main platforms - starting with city-specific pilot markets
    • Identify, negotiate and manage influencers and talent across multiple channels
    • Develop content and user-generated feedback for four projects that will help us refine our offering
    • Work with an external network of creators, both copy and visual, who can produce intriguing content in a cost-effective manner
    • Ideate with external and internal resources on media and PR/event-driven content that will dimensionalize our brand purpose
    • Develop a creative “freedom in a framework” for user-generated content that allows consumers to express themselves with authenticity while reinforcing the brand message

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • B.A. in a major such as Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or any related field

    • Five or more years working with content creation

    • Experience with:

    • Website relaunch

    • Editorial calendars

    • CMS redesign

    • Social-media

    • SEO and analytics
