JOB PURPOSE

The SW Operations Cloud Solutions/Database Architect is responsible for helping design the infrastructure, including security, for scalable software applications that can handle anywhere from 100 – 100,000 users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop Provide technical and architectural direction for the PLM system/Internal Tools
• Design/Architect/Deploy database system to meet technical requirements
• Interface with IT to define cloud/server/network/authentication solutions for the SW operations and tools team
• Coordinate with other teams to highlight risks and technical constraints
• Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies and trends relevant to cloud and database technologies

EXPERIENCE

• Expertise in working with Infrastructure as Code Experience
• Expertise in working with SQL and NoSQL database management systems
• Experience in engineering and software architecture design, virtualization, containers, CI/CD platform
• Designing over all solution and technical architecture for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance and cost efficiencies
• Experience in coding languages (Java, Python, C, etc.), design patterns and building backend REST based APIs to expose and consume services
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Experience with the 3DExperience Platform
