JOB PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer (IE) is responsible for the planning of direct/indirect labor and activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, scrolls and workstation assignments, change control and line balancing, and production line simulation. A qualified candidate will utilize lean concepts to identify/eliminate waste and perform time/motion studies. This position will support the manufacturing department with technical services to maintain efficient levels of lean manufacturing and manning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of time study/standards, ratings, MODAPTS, ergonomic evaluations
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management
Must be a self-starter with proven ability to give and gain the respect of all employees
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

EXPERIENCE
Degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology
5+ years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience
5+ years of automotive industry experience
Proven ability to manage, launch, and achieve standardization practices using process improvement tools.
Prior experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing Tools (Blitz, Kaizen Action Sheets, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
BIW & Assembly experience. Stamping experience is a plus
