  • Responsibilities

    INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

    • Collection and analysis of International cost data, tracking historical trends, providing comprehensive details, recommendations and reporting on outlier costs 

    • Develops intimate knowledge of international costs, business strategy, budget model, and processes

    • Liaises and develops relationships with various management and leadership roles across multiple disciplines and functions to fully understand various cost problems and come up with viable solutions

    • Communicate concisely and effectively with International Center Directors regarding process improvements relating to cost and budget overages

    • Updating and analyzing budget and actual data from multiple sources

    • Perform actual to budget variance analysis and historical trend analysis

    • Report and analyze monthly operating results and interpret financial data for management and business units

    • Support senior management and other departments on projects, ad hoc and management reports and analysis

    • Support the International budgeting and forecasting process

    • Develop an in-depth understanding of our business and its systems and processes

    • Assist in creating new and updating existing financial models

    • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with International companies/expenses preferred

    • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and timelines and to shift priorities quickly

    • Exceptional problem solving skills

    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, our remote International staff and the ability to build relationships

    • Must be highly curious

    • Strong accounting, analysis and research skills

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

    • Self-starter, motivated, enjoys a challenge

    • Must demonstrate a high level of organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately and independently and meet deadlines

    • Proficiency with MS Excel, Budgeting & Forecasting and Accounting Software

    • Individual must be flexible, with an ability to work in an independent, proactive manner, as well as part of a team

    ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Prior experience in Great Plains and/or Host Analytics software experience preferred
    • Experience in higher education preferred
    • Foreign currency experience preferred

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
    • 5+ years in an Accounting or analytical role required
    • 3+ years in a manager role required
