This is an entry-level, part-time internship opportunity in the
marketing department of an international education organization. The
Marketing Intern will assist with the various needs of CEA’s marketing
department by providing social media, email, SMS, and content marketing
support and working with other members of the marketing department to
perform research and analysis. This may include: Managing CEA’s social
media community, email & SMS marketing production and analysis,
assisting with content and blog initiatives, and tracking and reporting
digital communication efforts. In addition, this position will support
overall marketing campaigns, sales and lead initiatives, and targeted
brand awareness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social Media
- Assist with basic production, posting, and maintenance of CEA’s
social media platforms and related tools;
- Monitor social media engagement on a daily basis;
- Perform routine data collection and platform optimization;
- Identify opportunities for additional engagement and messaging
for the CEA brand;
- Content Marketing
- Execute contributor outreach and schedule posts for CEA and
third-party blogs;
- Assist in reviewing and managing blog content submitted from our
students and staff;
- Analyze content performance and identify areas for opportunity.
- Email & SMS Marketing
- Build email and SMS templates for routine and scheduled
communications to student and university audiences;
- Deploy emails and SMS messages in accordance with editorial
calendar;
- Assist with marketing automation campaigns;
- Perform routine data collection and platform optimization;
- Work with team to review digital marketing analytics, produce KPI
reports, and provide optimization recommendations.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Marketing and/or Communications major, or similar degree field
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including: Facebook,
Instagram (& related tools), Twitter, Pinterest (& related tools),
Snapchat, WordPress, and Dropbox
- Passion for social media and on top of current social media best
practices and trends
- Experience in email marketing methodologies
- Passion for email marketing and marketing automation
- Detail-oriented, with flawless editing and proofreading skills
- Highly-organized
- Able to meet tight deadlines
- Data-driven with abilith to connect results with goals
- Self-starting, creative problem solver.
