  • Responsibilities

    CHEVO is hiring a Project Manager to join our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) team. The successful candidate will work as a member of the engagement team providing oversight for a government Program Management Support project. The ideal candidate will have previous Project Management experience, preferably for FEMA engagements. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a TS Clearance (active TS NOT REQUIRED). Location is Washington, DC and is metro accessible.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee a team providing Data Analysis for a FEMA Preparedness Program. Specific task areas include
      • Strategy and Implementation Plan Development
      • Data Collection Development and Management
      • Research and Analysis
      • Continuous Improvement Program Capacity Building
      • Product Development
      • Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach
      • Web Services and System Support
    • Develop and implement a Quality Control Plan (QCP)
    • Lead weekly status meetings with the client
    • Plan and conduct quarterly review meetings to present task order progress
    • Provide detailed monthly reports summarizing work performed by deliverable.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • BA/BS degree in the related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience serving as Project Manager on DHS programs
    • Previous experience with Emergency Management initiatives for FEMA and/or at the State and Local level
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex, time critical support activities simultaneously, including analysis and data collection
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to develop and execute detailed project work plans.

    DESIRED SKILLS

    • Previous experience supporting FEMA’s National Preparedness Directorate
    • Previous experience performing in-depth data analysis related to Emergency Management programs and/or implementing tools in support of such programs
