CHEVO is currently hiring an experienced Contract Closeout Specialist,
with a to join our expanding Acquisitions practice. This position is
already funded and is primarily located on-site with our client in
the WASHINGTON, DC METRO AREA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all aspects of the Federal Government contract closeouts,
some additional work in cradle-to-grave acquisitions.
- Perform Contract File Closeout Assessments.
- Review and confirm acceptance of contract goods and services.
- Reconcile contract funding obligations and expenditures with final
voucher amounts and determine de-obligated amounts.
- Prepare contract closeout modifications using PRISM or like systems.
- Develop reports and prepare support documentation.
- Handle complex problems through effective and efficient resolutions
compliant with Federal acquisition regulations and policies.
- Work with the client to ensure successful service delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 5 years of federal contracts/acquisitions experience preferably
in conducting contract closeouts.
Demonstrated experience in:
- Performing Contract File Closeout Assessments
- Confirming acceptance of contract goods and services
- Reconcile contract funding obligations and expenditures with final
voucher amounts and determine deobligated amounts
- Prepare contract closeout modifications using PRISM or like systems.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, to include
PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified at the DAWIA Level I or FAC-C Level I or higher.
- Baccalaureate degree in a business related discipline from an
accredited institution.
- Experience and proficiency in PRISM.
- Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Federal
Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Knowledge and experience in acquisition reforms and streamlining
techniques for both commercial and Government.
- Ability to interact, on a daily basis, with senior management
and decision-makers.
