  • Responsibilities

    CHEVO is hiring a 508 Compliance Specialist to join our team. The 508 Compliance Specialist will provide support to an Agile Software Development Team.  RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Support Agile scrum team in analysis of 508 requirements to identify acceptance test criteria
    • Analyze application design, interface, and database design documentation to identify key areas for 508 testing focus
    • Design and execute 508 test cases
    • Log and monitor defects using defect tracking and reporting tool such as Rational ClearQuest or Rational CLM
    •  Participate in Agile scrum team activities including daily standup, release planning, sprint planning and end of sprint ceremonies.

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required; an additional five years of related work experience can substitute for a degree. Master’s Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in 508 Compliance Testing.
    • At least 5 years of experience with hands on 508 testing of web applications
    • Experience using one or more of the following: JAWS, Dragon Naturally Speaking
    • Strong technical writing and presentation skills, excellent verbal communication skills
    • Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
    • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years
    • Candidates must be Federal Tax compliant.

    DESIRED SKILLS

    • Experience with using a test automation framework and related tools such as Selenium
    • Experience with test automation including automation of 508 test cases using scripting tools
    • Experience using Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) method
    • Experience with IBM Rational Tools such as Rational Quality Manager (RQM), Rational Functional Tester (RFT)
    • Experience with Agile software development tracking tools such as Rational Team Concert (RTC) or Jira
    • Prior experience supporting IRS IT Software Development programs
    • Active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus
    • Experience with Agile methodologies
