About the Role:

Clarendon Before And After School Care is looking for an experienced and motivated Childcare Teacher to join our team in San Francisco, CA! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children by creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment before and after school hours.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage children in structured and unstructured activities during before and after school programs

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities

Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily updates

Support children with homework assistance and academic enrichment

Maintain accurate attendance records and follow safety protocols

Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure smooth daily program operations

Requirements:

Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a school-age program preferred

Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff

Ability to maintain a patient, positive, and encouraging demeanor

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Must pass required background checks per California state regulations

High school diploma or equivalent required; AA or degree in Child Development a plus
