Solstice Fenton is a Independent Senior Living Community, providing our guests with high-quality meals prepared with fresh ingredients and exceptional service. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team.

Job Summary:
As a Cook at Solstice Fenton, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes from our menu while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained. You will collaborate with the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets company specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations.
- Assist with inventory management and stock control, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate smooth operations and address any issues that arise during service.
- Stay informed about new menu items and prepare seasonal dishes as directed by the Head Chef.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings and contribute ideas for menu development and improvements.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in food safety, culinary arts, or a related field is a plus.
