The data.world team is looking for a PRODUCT MARKETING WRITER/EDITOR to evolve data.world's product marketing content operation. Your content will engage key buyer and user personas at the right point in their journeys. You'll know what's important to them and how they prefer to communicate. Your content will help with go-to-market execution, thought leadership, speeding up the buying cycle, and user adoption. At data.world, you'll spend most of your time writing, researching, and editing. You'll work fast, meet deadlines, and find freelancers to help out when needed. Your responsibilities will include proposing, planning, and creating a variety of content: product copy, landing pages, sales materials, blogs, email newsletters, social posts, and other more.
You should be skilled at writing clearly about complicated things, but most importantly, you must care about why we write these things and how they impact someone's day-to-day. As a good fit for our team, you actively seek out and explain value, and you're not afraid to make recommendations to your readers. You don't use jargon, cliches, or filler. Right now, you're thinking about ways to make this job description better. It's something you can't turn off.
You will report to the Head of Product Marketing, and work closely with the Growth Marketing Specialist, the Director of Marketing, and a diverse group of people on other teams. We're still in startup mode at data.world, and nearly everything we do is cross-functional. You know the realities of working at a high-growth startup, and this exhilarates you more than intimidates you.
Our Product Marketing Writer/Editor must work in the Austin office - unfortunately the remote thing won't work for us this round.
