About the Role:

Li & Liang Dental Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join our growing team in Oakland, CA! This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in keeping our practice running smoothly while working alongside a dedicated and passionate dental team.

Responsibilities:

Process and submit dental insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner

Review and post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient payments to accounts

Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals with insurance carriers

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments

Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, balances, and payment plans

Maintain accurate patient account records and billing documentation

Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to ensure proper coding and documentation

Requirements:

3+ years of dental billing or dental office experience strongly preferred

Familiarity with dental procedure codes (CDT codes) and insurance claim processes, fee upgrade

Experience with dental practice management software opendental

Strong understanding of PPO, and Medicaid/Denti-Cal insurance plans

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills with insurance company

Ability to work independently
