About the Role:

Frederic C Gaeta DDS is looking for a skilled and caring Dental Chairside Assistant to join our team in beautiful Kailua Kona, HI! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced dentist in a welcoming practice where patient comfort and quality care come first. Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and cleanings

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patient visits

Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist

Record patient treatment notes and update dental charts accurately

Educate patients on post-procedure care and proper oral hygiene techniques

Manage dental supply inventory and assist with ordering materials as needed

Greet patients and help create a calm, positive experience from check-in to checkout

Requirements:

Prior experience as a dental assistant or chairside assistant preferred

Dental assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program a plus

X-ray certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Familiarity with dental terminology, instruments, and four-handed dentistry techniques

Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
