    Job Description

    The Project Manager (PM) Intern can thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and apply the correct level of urgency to achieve a mutually accepted solution, all while providing exemplary customer service. The PM Intern should have a strong drive to learn enterprise project management principles and concepts and how to apply that knowledge towards the successful implementation and delivery of projects.

     

    The Intern will report to the Program Director of the Americas Operational Excellence program which manages the business transformation for dentsu. The role will be virtual with the opportunity to work from our Columbia, MD office and with a team of geographically distributed staff.

     

    ·        Elicit and document technical and functional requirements and define project scope

    ·        Develop and document project schedules, deliverables, and milestones through a detailed project plan

    ·        Proactively identify, track and resolve issues, risks and dependencies associated with projects; leading risk mitigation planning and communication to project sponsors/stakeholders

    ·        Coordinate the work of multiple project team members to ensure projects remain on schedule

    ·        Escalate issues as defined in documented escalation procedures.

    ·        Assist in overall PMO Operations including consolidating status reports for senior management

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ·        Demonstrate basic understanding of Project Management Concepts as defined by the Project management institute (PMI) and/or agile concepts and methodologies (Scrum Alliance).

    ·        Demonstrate PC proficiency using common software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project etc.

    ·        Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize several projects and tasks at one time.

    ·        Make decisions and judgments based on standard procedures.

    ·        Ability to multi-task, prioritizes, manage workload, and adapt to changing business conditions

    ·        Must be reliable related to schedule and recurring tasks.

    ·        Possess conflict resolution skills with an ability to identify stakeholders, assess their needs and manage their expectations
