    Job Description

    As a supporting part of the Project Management team, the Project Management Intern will be fully immersed in the discipline of Project Management to build and strengthen their fundamental skills in the practice within an integrated agency setting. The Project Management team gains tremendous and valuable insight into the agency by working with all departments that touch a project. As a Project Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in providing day-to-day tactical support and coordination of all activities with internal teams, under the supervision and with the guidance of senior discipline members. From project initiation and planning to delivery of the project on time, within budget, and to Dentsu’s standards of excellence, you will learn the total project lifecycle and inner workings within a fast-paced, integrated agency setting.  

     

    Our interns are assigned to work and projects that are applicable during their time at the agency. Responsibilities may include:  

     

    • Lead and manage the updating and sending of daily status reports and hot sheets 

    • Organize - in terms of set up and scheduling - internal meetings and manage internal meeting notes and team next steps  

    • Prepare timelines and develop project estimates in collaboration with senior discipline members 

    • Work with the project teams to initiate new jobs within the agency 

    • Support resourcing allocations 

    • Develop relationships with cross-discipline project teams  

    • Manage project workflows across multiple accounts and projects at one time 

    • Assist with management, quality assurance and delivery of all final campaign assets in preparation for trafficking and launch 

    • Track and manage team hours and out-of-pocket expenses in collaboration with Finance, Account Management, Production, and other senior discipline members 

    • Track deliverables against scope of work or estimate  

    • Generate and assess weekly financial reports 

    • Participate in internal financial billing meetings  

    • Manage the scheduling and attendance of the monthly PM meeting 

    • Provide support for the PM team in the completion of tactical (projects) and administrative (agency) tasks 

    • Coordinate $500K - $1MM in business 

    • May be client facing (once trained on client service best practices)

     

     

    Note: Employee is responsible for other duties as assigned. 

    THIS INTERNSHIP IS PART TIME OR FULL TIME (20 - 40 HOURS PER WEEK) AND IS PAID AT $15.00 PER HOUR.

    Requirements:  

     

    • Effective planning, organization, and time management skills and analysis/assessment capabilities 

    • Capacity to understand dynamics of multi-discipline teams and resolve team-related issues that could impact deliverables 

    • Able to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks/projects in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and deliver quality results 

    • Facilitate and manage projects from inception to completion with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to: Creative, Social Creative Lab, Production, Strategy, Influencer Marketing, Insights and Social Marketing  

    • Demonstrate core Project Management skills in organization, facilitation, attention to detail, negotiation, great interpersonal skills, and communication in keeping team members up to date on status of projects, and scheduling meetings 

    • Understand the basic project management process, and apply this when assisting project managers with the tracking of ongoing deliverables in and out of all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring review and approval of all team members on each round of review 

    • Champion all company and departmental processes and initiatives, including advocating and executing them, as well as assisting in ongoing process improvements 

    • Embody professional, proactive, and collaborative behavior that mirrors the 360i values

    • Exceptional organizational skills and good interpersonal skills 

    • A strong work ethic that includes a “get the job done” attitude

    Education:  

    • Full-time rising junior or rising senior, currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited 4-year College or University 

    • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program which aligns with the position such as Advertising, Marketing, Communications or Business Management

     

    Experience:  

    • 0-12 months experience in integrated agency environment as an intern or full-time employee is preferred, including traffic or team coordinating abilities  

    • Legally authorized to work in the US
