    Job Description

    This is an ideal opportunity for rising Juniors or Seniors interested in gaining experience in a modern global marketing company. This virtual, paid internship starts on June 7 and ends August 6. Candidates from diverse or underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

    As an Analytics PowerPoint Design and Presentation Intern, you will design and create presentations for Merkle’s Analytics team, turning their complex, technical information into simple, effective presentations (interactive / multimedia / PowerPoint presentations with charts, graphs, timelines, diagrams). You will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and technical production of presentations, as well as supporting materials, such as handouts, placemats, etc. You will combine your expertise in workflow management, design, multimedia and audio-visual production technology, and information organization.

    • Manage workflow, content, and revision control
    • Execute layout, illustration, and design
    • Work collaboratively with Analytics team members and executive support staff.
    • Produce materials requiring simple to complex graphics, animations, and audio/video mixes, integrating typographic, photographic, illustrative, and graphic elements. 
    • Ensure all PowerPoint graphics and content are accurate, timely, relevant, compelling, and appropriate for the intended audience. 
    • Contribute to the management of corporate brand strategy by consistently adhering to brand, style, voice, tone, and design guidelines and standards. 
    • Contribute creative solutions in a deadline-driven, goal-oriented, multi-functional environment. 
    • Interface with peers and cross-functional team members regarding the execution of presentations and media deliverables.

    Qualifications

    You must have a strong passion for problem solving and an eye for creating visually appealing presentation material. You must be able to visualize analytical and technical concepts in ways that are easy to understand and attractive to clients and consumers.

    • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
    • Advanced PowerPoint and Word skills—experience using other presentation software is a bonus 
    • A comprehensive and thorough understanding of how to effectively utilize Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite to develop corporate materials 
    • Proficiency using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign 
    • Ability to incorporate various types of multimedia into Microsoft Office documents/presentations 
    • Knowledge of a wide variety of image, audio, and video file formats, converting from one format to another, and the software required to perform such tasks 
    • Ability to quickly transfer audio/visual content from one medium to another 
    • Understanding of basic design principles and the application of corporate brand guidelines 
    • Proven track record in executing flawless and impactful presentations and speaker support materials 
    • Portfolio of design work in PowerPoint or other presentation formats

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.
