    Job Description

    The purpose of the Integrated Client Lead (ICL) role is to own and manage client relationships to deliver value to dentsu and to our clients’ business.  ICL’s do so from a neutral perspective, agnostic to agency brands and capabilities by architecting integrated solutions that create value and are delivered cross-network.  An ICL should be the antenna in the client’s organization, proactively recognizing issues and opportunities.  An ICL is a strategic, trusted advisor who can gain intimate knowledge of our client’s objectives, goals and KPI’s and, in partnership together, deliver stronger outcomes.

    The ICL has a pivotal role in also enabling the client leadership across LOBs and brands for dentsu International to drive client value.

    THE CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE: 

    • The profitable revenue growth of a targeted Integrated Account across all dentsu offerings, typically $10m in revenue +
    • Integration by design:  management of the complexity of connecting agencies, LOBs and dentsu offerings, typically 3+
    • Strategic client leadership for the account
    • Thoughtful account and growth planning via the established dentsu Key Account Planning and Growth Planning process
    • Client satisfaction and retention; generation of growth through advocacy as measured by TRR, tenure, and growth
    • Commercial delivery of original deal economics (ODE) and performance clause maximization; oversight and management of an integrated account P&L

    STRATEGIC CLIENT LEADERSHIP:

    • Lead strategic Client(s) at the dentsu Global level. Actively inform and be accountable for quality of the services
    • In partnership with the agency brand client leadership, create the right service models and solutions for clients from dentsu capabilities and services.
    • Set the agenda; support and contribute to our C-suite relationships through thought leadership and consistent engagement
    • Develop relationships with specific, named and agreed, senior clients and organizations each year across the dentsu account elevating our status to those clients and partnering with them to answer their biggest business and marketing issues/opportunities
    • Contribute ideas to the client leadership community internally at dentsu
    • Support the agency brand client leadership in navigating the Network and helping overcome any barriers to servicing our clients seamlessly
    • Support the development of any client training agendas to upscale marketing knowledge within client organizations
    • Oversee a QBR process and ensure strategic engagement with clients
    • Be accountable for the quality of all work delivered by the team
    • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and approach

    GLOBAL KEY ACCOUNT PLANNING (KAP):

    • Develop the key strategic development plans for clients, inclusive of all relevant dentsu agencies, and ensures that the service model and collaboration between network brands is optimal for the client
    • Set the direction (and support) for how client partnership models should be managed for the client and ensures all dentsu agencies understand the role they need to play to ensure optimal value is created
    • Represent clients in the automation of account management through new platform technologies (e.g. Salesforce)
    • Use the Lines of Business CEOs and agency presidents to seek and drive solutions to resolve escalations as needed; collaborative issue resolution

    MOBILIZATION OF TALENT AND THE DENTSU NETWORK:

    • Actively work to attract and recruit the best talent from across the network and externally, to build cohesive and effective pitch/client teams 
    • Drive cross dentsu integrated team collaboration
    • Ensure DEI goals are reflected in the hiring and development plan for the business 
    • Create community within your integrated delivery team

    COMMERCIAL AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - EXISTING CLIENTS: 

    • Negotiate and expertly navigate the relevant agreements (MSA, SOW…)
    • Understand in/out of scope work and evolve the core scoping model with the commercial team; ensure delivery teams know the boundaries
    • Support the development of the client’s business and income opportunities; delivering agreed upon financial targets
    • Be responsible for meeting contractual obligations and for compliance through the commercial team
    • Review performance versus plan quarterly with dentsu Commercial team
    • Review and ultimately manage a single client P&L approach

     

    EXTERNAL CLIENT LEADERSHIP @ DENTSU:

    • Be a voice of clients at dentsu in conference and trade press
    • Support the development of a communication strategy to build the dentsu brand and elevate your clients’ visibility in the market
    • Establish world class case studies of client work for your clients
