    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5-7 years hands-on experience working in a non-governmental / Corporate Human Resources Department as a Generalist in a large company employing 50 employees or over;

    • College Degree or HR Certification + Experience in private industry HR with more than 50 employees absolutely required. No time to train.

    • Strong/In-depth working knowledge and practical experience of/in : Title VII, EEOC, Wrongful termination, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, USSERA, COBRA, HIPPA, ERISA, hostile work environment / sexual harassment investigations and workers’ compensation, safety / claims and risk management, employee benefits administration and unemployment claims management. Solid background in implementing and enforcing employee handbooks / policies and procedures for any kind of a large employer of more than 50 employees;

    • Good communication skills in English and Spanish (Bilingual /Spanish absolutely necessary).

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • The Human Resources Client Advisor will provide business partnership and HR liaison to several assigned _dm_Dickason Clients. You will provide day-to-day HR support and act as a partner, coordinating strong working relations between the worksite employer, its’ employee’s and _dm_Dickason;  Must enjoy working with many different kinds of employers in many diversified kinds of industries.  To some, it is fascinating, challenging and very rewarding.

    • The HR Client Advisor manages the process and implementation of the following: payroll processing, benefits administration, safety / risk management unemployment claims administration, HR and employment law compliance;

    • As a _dm_Dickason Human Resources Client Adviser, you will be providing individualized counsel and direction for the specific Business Client’s and worksite employee’s needs;

    • You will identify best practices and organizational efficiencies, as well as coach and train site managers to properly apply human resource policies and procedures within their departments and/or businesses;

    • Keep an active pulse on site employee issues and recommend creative solutions offering alternatives or interventions as needed. Provide credible advice and direction to site management and worksite employees on employee relations issues to ensure the consistent application of policies in compliance with legal requirements and _dm_Dickason policy;

    • You will counsel and coordinate the uniform application of policies and procedures and the application of discipline to preserve positive employee relations and to prevent wrongful termination lawsuits or excessive turnover;

    • You will conduct worksite investigations related to wrongful termination, hostile work environment, sexual harassment, etc., and counsel management team on matters of investigations, terminations, corrective actions, company policy and procedures, etc.;

    • Work with line management to manage the strategies which enable the client area to attract and retain the best people available through an efficient, professional employment process; Conduct new employee orientations / drug testing;

    • Provide weekly report of activities that occurred within your areas of responsibility.
