    Job Summary:

    The Low Voltage Technician will learn low voltage electrical work in repair, alteration, construction, installation, and maintenance of low voltage electrical systems and equipment; and perform related duties as assigned. Duties include installation, maintenance, and repair of local area and wide area network cabling, audio visual equipment, intercom systems, security cameras, and other electrical and limited energy systems and equipment. The successful candidate would also ensure work performed at jobsites is in accordance with standard practices of the trade and in compliance with state and local regulations.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Install, troubleshoot, test and repair of low voltage systems.

    Install necessary interior and exterior wiring for equipment.

    Rough and trim new construction homes.

    Attending training, workshops, in-services, and continuing education as requested by the department supervisor.

    Maintain records of work performed.

    Perform physical requirements with reasonable accommodations.

    Maintain regular and prompt attendance in the workplace.

    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year or more of related work experience.

    The ability to follow Oral and/ or written direction

    Knowledge and ability to use smart phone applications

    Must provide his/ her own tools

    Previous experience on constructions sites

    Valid and current driver's license

    Must have a reliable source of transportation

    Physical Demands: Employee in this position must have/be able to:

    Lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs at waist height for short distances.

    Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of trade tools.

    Walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.

    Bend at the waist, kneel, crawl, crouch and stoop.

    Reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.

    Climb ladders and work from heights.

    Drive 1-2 hours per day.
