eGourmet Solutions is a National Logistics and eCommerce Fulfillment Company specializing in frozen, refrigerated and dry perishable goods. We're looking for an experienced janitor to join our team. This position requires a positive and motivated candidate to manage responsibilities in a high-volume facility. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday with some weekend time required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Disinfect the warehouse/facility throughout the day.
- Clean and disinfect break rooms, kitchen and bathrooms.
- Clean/dust furniture, warehouse racking and disinfect all surfaces.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop/buff floors.
- Pick up and break down cardboard; operate a baler.
- Steam clean/shampoo carpets.
- Empty all trash receptacles and replace linings.
- Tackle heavier cleaning jobs upon request.
- Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees.
- Spray insecticides and fumigants when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous janitorial /custodial/cleaning experience.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
- Knowledge and ability to operate a baler and trash compactor safely.
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Good communication skills; works as a team player.
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in different temperatures (freezer, cooler, dry areas).
