    We are seeking an experienced IT and Business Enterprise Architect for a 12-month (hybrid preferred)/remote assignment with our Sacramento, California-based client. The ideal candidate will have helped State, federal, and/or private-sector clients identify their enterprise architecture for applications, infrastructure, and business process flow, especially clients who do not have experience with architectural views. This is not a deep technical architectural position; rather it is for a consultant who can articulate the 'big picture' and help clients start to think from that perspective.

    Responsibilities include: · Provide the client with recommendations to improve the EAF’s capability to meet operational needs to conform to defined EA and infrastructure standards and practices. · Recommend improvements to the client to ensure that it can efficiently and adequately support ongoing, evolving, and future operational needs. · Provide the client with a roadmap that details the steps necessary to implement the recommendations. · Create business capability maps and heat maps to show gaps in realizing strategic intent. · Create context illustrations and diagrams to inform decisionmakers. · Create illustrations and diagrams to represent transformation, scopes of change, and roadmaps for delivering complex change.

    Requirements: · 7 years of experience applying Enterprise Architecture principles. · 5 years of experience in a Lead role · 5 years of expert level experience assessing, architecting, implementing. Supporting multiple enterprise cloud application migrations using industry best practices, and supporting technologies (e.g Network, Security, Servers, Storage, Backup, and Disaster Recovery) · 5 years of expert level experience with industry best practice IT application assessments and documenting AS IS (On-premises) vs TO BE (Cloud) IT architecture diagrams, narratives, support models, roles and responsibilities. · 5 years of expert level experience with industry best practice hybrid cloud infrastructure backup and recovery planning, documenting repeatable processes, and testing with key IT technology groups in support of specific business units current, planned, and new initiatives, with a major focus on proactively ensuring and adequate recovery. · 5 years of expert level experience providing executive level presentations, reports, diagrams, and analysis. · 2 years of expert level experience implementing backup and disaster recovery using AWS Cloud, Cohesity, Pure, and EMC technologies. · 2 years of expert level experience supporting and documenting AS-IS (on-premises) vs TO-BE (Cloud) workload cost analysis for purposes of determining current vs future costs.

    Desired Qualifications · Certifications in project, quality, IT governance, and EA standards (Certified IT Architect, CSSBB, CMQ/OE, PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, etc.) · Experience with California state agencies and departments. · Knowledgeable and experience working with Federal and State programs and organizations.

    Education, Certification, Training & Experience · Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
