    Who You'll Work With 

    The quintessential 82i client is “MR. FOUNDER” – a classic “idea guy” & entrepreneur who has been heads down for years building a rapidly growing business with a strong product-market fit, dozens to hundreds of customers, and potential investors to entertain. One day, Mr. Founder looks up and realizes he has a whole new set of problems to solve, and isn’t quite confident in his approach – AND THAT’S WHERE YOU COME IN.

    What You'll Do 

    The M&A / Capital Raise Consultant is a core member of our Client Services Team, the athletes of 82i. The M&A / Capital Raise Consultant guides our entrepreneur clients to the next big milestone. You’ll be coached by our team of advisors – formerly c-suite, “been there, done that” executives whose #1 directive is to support you.

    M&A / Capital Raise Responsibilities

    • Develop financial models to analyze and predict future trends of our client's businesses
    • Conduct analyses on client KPIs, including financial, customer, and operational metrics
    • Conduct due diligence, research, and analysis of market trends
    • Interface with & manage investor relationships
    • Prepare presentation materials used to communicate with clients and counterparties
    • Assist in the execution of live M&A transactions by serving as a key point of contact between the client, investors, and third-party service providers
    • Perform valuation and risk analysis of early-stage acquisition opportunities
    • Collaborate directly with clients to understand and assess key business trends

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, economics, or business preferred
    • Strong analytical, financial modeling & excel skills
    • 2+ years of experience working in investment banking, private equity, and finance departments at high-growth companies
    • Extremely high level of attention to detail – and the ability to know when to use it
    • Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully within ambiguity, and manage multiple priorities in a constantly changing environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, technically, and effectively with coworkers and external business partners
    • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement
    • Strong time management and leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results

    Position Details 

    • EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time or Part-Time on a contractor basis
    • LOCATION: Remote – Anywhere, U.S. Time Zone Working Hours
    • REPORTS TO: Engagement Manager
    • COMPENSATION: Available in full-time position: Salary, Bonus, Benefits, 401k Match – Market Competitive
