·        ektello is working with a global media & entertainment leader to find a Assoc Production Engineer Ops (to join a growing team) in Dulles, VA. All candidates must be willing and able to work on W2 without sponsorship. No C2C options. As an Associate Delivery Operations Engineer, you will resolve common server, application and network problems related to our global Content Delivery Network. Your technical talent and problem-solving skills will help us provide superior performance on our CDN. Your ability to identify issues and communicate with other escalation teams will help stop/prevent customer impact. You will be expected to be a contributing team member, adding to our knowledge base, updating our processes and supporting each other. We staff a 24/7 operation which requires shift work. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work on the world’s fastest, most reliable content delivery network, which includes thousands of servers, applications and network devices for some of the biggest sites on the internet, using a powerful suite of custom-built monitoring tools and systems. Monitoring the performance, reliability and stability of the entire global network infrastructure on a 24/7 basis. Ensuring company-wide Objectives and Key Results (OKR) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) objects are met. Troubleshoot complex server and application issues. This may include coordinating with third-party vendors, customer contacts, internal escalation teams or other business units in order to reach a holistic solution. Maintaining knowledge continuity among peers and internal escalation teams. This includes updating internal knowledge bases with new processes and procedures. Actively involved in identifying and communicating opportunities for automation and optimization of our monitoring tasks and processes. Administers trouble tickets according to established guidelines, standards, and procedures. Ensures content accurately reflects all incident response efforts. Independently makes decisions regarding the next-steps involved in incident response. Maintains mastery of established standard operating procedures and processes. Continual career and knowledge development, technical curiosity and a desire to grow.. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Solid experience monitoring enterprise-level infrastructure using various internal and 3rd party monitoring tools.

·        Experience maintaining, managing and monitoring remote servers running Linux.

·        Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS and internet protocols along with practical understanding of Internet routing and related networking technologies.

·        Knowledge of basic network troubleshooting using traceroutes, pings, and Catchpoint.

·        Ability to address issues or escalating quickly and efficiently to other internal support groups when necessary.

·        Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with respective teams and technical personnel in high-stress situations.

·        Prior experience with ticketing software such as Service Now, BMC Remedy, or Jira. Flexible to work different shifts as needed in a 24/7/365 NOC environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

·        2+ years professional experience working as a NOC engineer, applications support or Jr. Sysadmin role. Bachelor's Degree in a computer related field.

·        Certifications such as Linux+, LFCS or equivalent are preferred

·        Familiarity with one or more programming/scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl and C++.

·        Working Knowledge of a Content Delivery Network or web hosting company

·        Strong customer service skills

·        Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
