A well-known manufacturing company is looking for a Staff Accountant.
The position includes managing the credit function to insure timely collection of accounts receivable and minimize bad debt write-offs. Manage biweekly payroll functions and related reporting and reconciliations. Assist with month-end work and prepare reconciliations for cash, AR, and payroll-related accounts
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for Accounts Receivable
- Manage new and existing customer credit limits in ERP system
- Review order report for credit approval and release
- Issue weekly customer statements and follow up calls
- Maintain customer relationships to ensure timely payment and facilitate discrepancy resolution
- Daily cash application and reconciliation of bank account
2. Responsible for bi-weekly Payroll processing
- Process bi-weekly payroll including validation of time sheets and time off
- Prepare and enter payroll journal entries ensuring compliance with Fair Labor Act
- Assist with required government payroll-related reports and audits including annual 401k audit
- Assist HR with any employee inquires related to paychecks
- Month-end journal entries for employee-related liabilities
3. Assist in month-end close and reconciliations
- Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations including bank accounts, accounts receivable, bad debt and employee related liability accounts
- Prepare monthly cash flow report
*Experience in the manufacturing industry.

*Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
*Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
