Part-Time Endocrinologist – Diabetes & Lipid Management
Practice Overview
We are a patient-centered family medicine practice seeking a part-time Endocrinologist to collaborate with our primary care team in managing patients with diabetes and hypercholesterolemia. This role will provide specialized endocrine care within a familiar primary care setting, improving access and continuity for our patients.
Position Summary
The Endocrinologist will evaluate, treat, and follow adult patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, and related metabolic conditions. The physician will work closely with family medicine providers to co-manage complex cases and optimize long-term outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
Provide ongoing care for patients with hypercholesterolemia and lipid disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans, including lifestyle counseling and medication management
Interpret laboratory results and adjust therapy accordingly
Collaborate with primary care providers for coordinated, team-based care
Educate patients on disease management, prevention, and long-term complications
Document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow evidence-based guidelines and best practices
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
Active medical license (state-specific)
DEA registration (if applicable)
Strong interest in outpatient, collaborative care
Excellent communication and patient education skills
