We seek a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to retain and grow our key partnerships with media companies across the United States. The SDR's primary role is to generate new clients.
Job Location: Remote
Salary: $30k - $35k plus commission.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities, providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
- Be responsible for educating and developing prospects, leading to hand-off to sales teams
- Create target prospects lists and penetrate key accounts
- Cold calls into prospects generated by a variety of outside sources
- Identify key players, research and obtain business requirements, and present solutions to begin the sales cycle
- Profile strategic accounts, identify key individuals, research and obtain business requirements, and present solutions to start the sales cycle
- Set appointments for [redacted] sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
- Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a field sales rep
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
- Ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in the CRM application
Requirements
- 1+ years of progressively responsible marketing, ticketing, advertising sales, inside sales, or business development-related sales experience (preferred)
- Experience in the local media industry is preferred. This includes, but is not limited to, radio, television, daily newspapers (print or digital), or alternative weekly magazines
- Demonstrable ability to communicate with, present to, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven track record demonstrating strong articulation of a product selling points via phone and email
- Ability to assist in coordinating sales functions, including prospecting and leads research
