About the Role:

Fork & Knife LLC in Flemington, NJ is looking for a talented and motivated Food Prep team member to join our kitchen crew! This is a great opportunity to sharpen your culinary skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where quality and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards

Wash, peel, chop, and slice fruits, vegetables, and proteins as directed

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times

Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during meal service and high-volume periods

Properly store and label food items following food safety guidelines

Monitor and rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness

Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Requirements:

Prior experience in a kitchen, food prep, or restaurant environment preferred

Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment

Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling procedures

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Reliable, punctual, and a positive team-first attitude
