    The Seminar Network seeks a Director of Digital Fundraising to oversee the planning and execution of an online fundraising program for numerous organizations for which the organization raises funds. This role will require an ability to design and drive a fundraising strategy by leveraging internal talent and assets as well as outside agency support with a goal of growing a sustainable, profitable revenue source, both through direct contributions and identification of high-dollar prospects.

    Skills:

     

    • Proven digital content marketing and fundraising experience.
    • Awesome interpersonal skills and the proven ability to sell key stakeholders on ideas, strategy, and budget. Can you win people over?
    • Proven success fundraising outside the digital realm, including the management, development, and upgrading of individual donors.
    • Data analysis and strategic decision making, and a relentless focus on results.
    • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Exact Target, Mail Chimp, etc), and familiarity with online advertising practices such as acquisition efforts and retargeting, and tools like Facebook Business Manager and Google AdWords.
    • Wordpress content management experience.
    • The essence of marketing is the message, and you must understand how to move people to action.
    • Familiary with data segmentation, email deliverability, and technical skills including HTML coding and SEO.

     

     Essential Responsibilities:

     

    • Oversee the implementation of an overall effort to acquire, engage, cultivate, and upgrade donors through all digital channels (email, social media, websites, etc) with a goal of maximizing long-term revenue;
    • Collaborate and partner with the internal communications team to overlay fundraising strategies over existing digital outreach in a way that increases overall engagement, increases donor conversion rates, and supports long-term strategic network objectives;
    • Coordinate with the Director of Direct Mail on strategies to increase mail to online donor conversions and vice versa;
    • Oversee and/or produce the creative and messaging of digital fundraising efforts for individual partner groups and work with partner group leaders to ensure strategy and policy alignment;
    • Ability to capture tone and message of various network brands;
    • Communicate regularly with the Director of Direct Marketing, senior leadership, and the development team on key initiatives and long-term strategies;
    • Utilize, monitor and deploy resources wisely to achieve development goals.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of work experience required;
    • Documented success running a successful digital fundraising program that generates net revenue and donor engagement in the organization’s mission;
    • Ability to prioritize, and advanced skills in strategic planning and coordination;
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and high degree of discretion and confidentiality;
    • Computer proficiency, including MS Office;
    • Demonstrated evidence of leadership ability or entrepreneurial behavior;
    • A passion and commitment to the principles of a free and open society;
    • Humility, integrity, passion, motivation, and a self-starter attitude.
