    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    Your primary role is to collaborate with the Chief Scientist in developing simulation models in ns3 for goTenna's mobile mesh protocols and other state of the art protocols and to compare them using simulations. Additionally, you will also work with the firmware and/or the QA team to run experiments and use their input to refine the model.

    THIS ROLE'S MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Enhancing existing ns3 simulation models of mesh networking protocols and developing new ones
    • Running experiments for comparing protocols and writing scripts for automated data analysis
    • Working with the firmware and QA teams as appropriate
    • Documenting results and possibly preparing a joint conference paper with the Chief Scientist and other staff

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of computer networking, for example through an undergraduate or graduate course. Proficiency in wireless/mesh networking a strong plus.
    • Proficiency with the ns3 simulation tool. Must have developed a sizeable networking model in ns3 (preferably wireless/mesh networking) and analyzed performance
    • BS/MS in EE or CS

    This is a paid internship based in Brooklyn, NY, reporting to the Chief Scientist. We are looking for a full-time summer intern who is currently a graduate or senior-year undergraduate student who can commit to at least 12 weeks between May-August 2019.
