This is an opportunity for you to join a new, agile team and play a key role in developing an IoT solution for an industry leader.As a Technical Lead Full Stack Engineer at STREAMETRIC, you will sit in the driver's seat and take charge of our IoT platforms technology stack to create and deliver value to our customers. We address the challenges of several industries which rely on water treatment and filtration with our innovative software solutions. It is our goal to improve sustainability by optimizing efficiencies, energy demand and water quality for the applications we support. This position will allow you to build the foundation of our growing startup business as well as contribute to the broader mission of our parent company, MANN+HUMMEL. Together we solve the many challenging problems faced in the areas of Clean Air, Clean Water, Life Science and Energy. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take ownership of our cloud IoT technology stack and application built in AWS
Build, expand and improve our backend, infrastructure, and deployment processes using Bitbucket Pipelines
Set up monitoring and alerts to ensure minimum downtime, security, and cost efficiency of our cloud environments and IoT devices
Build software prototypes and MVPs for customers
Technical contact point for external software development teams
Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation
Maintain high levels of security awareness when creating infrastructure
Work with both front end and backend developers to improve the overall platform where needed
Build and improve the interface to data science environment (e.g. data pipelines). Work with data engineers and data scientists
Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application development and deployment
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related field and 2+ years' experience in IoT or data science
Experience with serverless cloud services (AWS services: Lambda, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS)
Creativeness and ability to generate new ideas
Ideal: experience with data pipelines
Languages: Javascript, Python, Bash, HTML, node.js and CSS
High flexibility, agile mindset, customer driven and results oriented
Ability to work in an autonomous and cross-functional team
Software tools: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Bitbucket
Languages: English (professional level) & German (ideal)
