    Job Description

    i3 Microsystems, an affiliate of i3 Technology Group, is seeking a MES Application Administrator for our facility located in sunny St. Petersburg, FL. i3 offers competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, as well as the opportunity to participate in a 401K Plan.  We are a fast-paced company that designs, develops, and manufactures multichip modules, i.e. heterogeneous system in package modules, for defense and commercial applications. 

    SUMMARY:

    This position, which reports to our Dir, Fab Operations, is responsible for analyzing, maintaining and supporting our application technology requirements within our Operation arena; including, production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing execution.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Candidates with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial/Operations Engineering, Information Technology/Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.  Experience in wafer fabrication a plus.

    • 3 - 5 years relevant experience in designing and implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (preferably Eyelit MES) and/or ERP (preferably Intuitive) work in the Manufacturing, Scheduling, and Supply and/or Demand Planning modules.    

    • Project Management Experience (PMP) a plus.

    • Lean and/or Six Sigma Certifications a plus.

    • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Core duties and responsibilities include the following:  

    • Experience in using SQL Service Profiler, SQL Server Agent, and Database Engine Tuning Advisory (DTA).
    • Develop and implement solutions / strategies for necessary operational efficiencies.
    • Manage the information flow about every aspect of manufacturing, advanced planning, production capacity analysis, lead times and inventory.  
    • Design applications that focus on improvements in factory floor productivity and efficiency, minimize downtime and improve capacity and overall equipment effectiveness, improved shop floor visibility, visual factors.
    •  Design, development, implementation, support and maintain MES system. (Eyelit preferred)
    • Design and build efficient factory floor reporting tools that support ease of reporting factory floor transactions.   Focus on improvements in operator’s efficiency in reporting / recording transactions. 
    • Enable optimized, paperless manufacturing that electronically delivers work instructions to the factory / work centers.
    • Lead the key user SME group to create and validate paperless flows and work instructions prior to releasing to production.
    • Maintain the reporting and dashboard infrastructure for the organization.
    • Manage processes for change control and auditing on all applications.
    • Troubleshoot production issues as they relate to MES (Eyelit) and ERP (Intuitive) integration and application performance.
    • On call support is a requirement 24/7/365.
    • Offer new ideas / suggestions for improvement; identify and implement new practices / processes.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
    • Other duties that may be assigned.
