    Job Description

    This project is in support of Program Management activities (program and technical support) required for the client to be successful in the effort to transition (pre-implementation/ implementation /migration /operation) from current systems (financial/asset management/procurement) to new modernized solutions. ERP system will be SAP.

    We seek an accomplished SAP Federal Financials Functional Procure to Pay (P2P) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play a critical role in data conversion and migration from a legacy system to SAP Federal Financials. As the P2P SME, you will provide expertise in implementing and optimizing SAP P2P modules for federal agencies.

    ​​​​Responsibilities:

    • Lead or assist in the implementation of the SAP PS module, including gathering business requirements, configuring the system, and ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules.
    • Manage project-related financial transactions, cost planning, budgeting, and revenue recognition within SAP Project Systems (PS).
    • Configure and maintain project billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to clients or internal stakeholders within SAP Project Systems (PS).
    • Serve as an expert in SAP Federal Financials P2P processes, including Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, and Vendor Management.
    • Configure and optimize SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Procurement for Public Sector and align to financial regulations and agency needs.
    • Provide strategic insights to clients on improving reporting, procurement processes, cost control, and vendor management processes.
    • Support integration efforts by working closely with technical teams and SAP functional consultants.
    • Collaborate with federal agency stakeholders to understand their unique P2P requirements and provide tailored solutions.
    • Assist the client with Business Process Reengineering (BPR) as they migrate from a legacy system to SAP.
    • Assist the client in facilitating “As-Is” business process walkthroughs/demonstrations and capturing information in process narratives.
    • Document future state “To-Be” business processes, including procedures, diagrams, log of known systems and business issues, etc.
    • Create detailed functional design documents.
    • Identify processes impacted by the transition to the SAP solution and support methods for reducing the impact of the changes on Stakeholders.
    • Assist with the data conversion, validating and reconciling transactional and master data of multiple mock conversions, and the production migration.
    • Identify data anomalies during data migration, root cause (system or process issue), and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Assist with developing and executing unit and end-to-end system integration test plans.
    • Assist with training sessions for end-users on SAP P2P functionalities and best practices.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Strong understanding of SAP R2R and federal financials modules, such as Project Systems (PS), Funds Management (FM), Budget Execution (BE), Financial Accounting (FI) and Public Sector Management (PSM).
    • Minimum of 3 years experience with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Public Sector Management (PSM) and Materials Management (MM).
    • Experience with SAP Records Management
    • Extensive experience as an SAP Functional Consultant with a focus on SAP P2P Federal Financials
    • In-depth knowledge of federal procurement regulations.
    • Strong understanding of federal accounting, both proprietary and budgetary accounts.
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing SAP P2P solutions for federal agencies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
    • Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into SAP solutions.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing SAP.
