    iEducate's mission is to educate today's children while elevating tomorrow's teachers. Our model embeds college and high school students alongside teachers to provide co-teaching instructional support to underserved elementary students, addressing the need for immediate high-impact tutoring while also cultivating a pipeline of homegrown future educators through direct classroom experience. Over the past two years, we have grown from a staff of three to over 20, forming major school district partnerships that have engaged over 400 tutors to serve 35,000 elementary students.     Houston, Texas-based position. In-person.
    Part-Time. $20 per hour. M-F 20 hours per week.

    We are looking for an energetic, adaptable self-starter to join our small but ambitious, driven team. You will provide general office management & administrative support to the team.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Office Administration

      • Greet and assist tutors and visitors in the office (directing to events, coordinating pick-up of materials, etc.)
      • Maintain staff training and office calendars, including room reservations, event planning, travel arrangements, etc.
      • Monitor and direct emails, phone calls, and voicemails to needed parties
      • Manage office supplies (including technology) & maintenance requests
      • Manage the company credit card by overseeing all purchases made by office staff
      • Collect and distribute office mail from mailroom and offsite P.O. Box
    • Manage general staff initiatives

      • Manage office protocols and update personnel records and databases, including the maintenance of a staff directory
      • Manage pipeline of new staff candidates and schedule interviews
      • Conduct background checks for new staff
      • Logistical onboarding of new staff, accounts set up, etc.
      • Support company culture development activities, plan happy hours, celebrate staff birthdays and work anniversaries, etc.
    • Support general tutor initiatives

      • Complete employment verification, proof of employment, and other government form requests for current and former employees
      • Support interview scheduling and conduct interviews
      • Support staff and tutor trainings
      • Support HRNext onboarding of tutors and maintenance of tutors HRNext accounts
      • Assist in the logistical planning of tutor events and professional development sessions, including venue selection, catering, room booking, etc.
      • Place orders, maintain inventory, and assist in distribution of program materials (iPads, shirts, lanyards, etc.)
    • Other duties as assigned to support leadership team; may vary depending on time of year and organizational needs

    • Written and verbal communication proficiency using common technology tools like Gmail & Google Docs

    Work Demands

    • Ability to pick up office supplies and refreshments from local stores
    • Ability to travel to multiple locations during business hours
    • Occasional weekends and evening work required
    • A valid driver's license and valid automobile liability insurance
    • Regular attendance is required
    • Able to lift 20 lbs
