About the Graphic Designer position

We are looking for a skilled Graphic designer to help interpret iFixit's physical products and marketing campaigns with high visual impact. Your duties will include working with the tool development team to provide graphics for packaging, direct photoshoots, and help create design assets for marketing/social campaigns.

iFixit is on a mission to teach the world that repair isn't difficult. We need to convey this message through empathy and impactful visual imagery, and cannot do it without a talented designer like you. 

What you'll be doing:

• Collaborate with the marketing & outreach team to create visuals and help shape campaigns.
• Work closely with the tool development team to sketch out ideas for boxes and containers for manufacturing.
• Provide finalized design files ready for print for packaging and physical products.
• Maintain a constant dialog with the design lead to ensure brand consistency.

Graphic Designer requirements are:

• 2+ years' experience of working on real-world design projects.
• Excellent visual and graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
• Strong interaction, communication, and presentation skills.
• Good practical experience with industry leading software and technologies, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
• Ability to package up design files ready for print with knowledge of color formatting and Pantone matching requirements.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working on a remote or semi-distributed team.
• Some history of interacting with communication/task-based software like GitHub, Asana, or Trello.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software.
• Experience designing or communicating on Figma documents.
