We're looking for a full-time Social Media Coordinator to help expand iFixit's brand presence and channel growth through social media platforms and press outreach. They will work alongside our content and marketing teams to create and manage monthly calendars, use marketing strategies to deliver iFixit's message in creative ways, and moderate our social media community. In addition to attracting new customers, the Social Media Coordinator will analyze data to determine which content works best and capitalize on this information to continue scaling the iFixit global repair community.

A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, advertising, public relations or a related field is preferred, but if you're the right person, not required. Especially if you love keeping up with the latest hardware, building PCs, tinkering with Raspberry Pis, treating everything like a DIY project—and are Extremely Online about it.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day scheduling and posting and management of a monthly social media calendar
• Ensure brand consistency through tone, copy, and visual assets
• Create actionable plans to grow and maintain followers on popular social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
• Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools including Google Analytics
• Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company to ensure a positive customer service experience
• Manage email requests from members of the press and iFixit community
• Occasionally pitch journalists for holiday sales and other campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years experience managing social media accounts for a global brand
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field
• Proficient using multi-social posting programs. We use Buffer and Later, but we're looking to move to a full-fledged platform with segmentation and social listening capabilities
• Proficient using GSuite and basic knowledge of Adobe Suite programs. Bonus points if you have experience using Asana and Slack!
• General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
• Strong understanding of marketing strategy and ability to simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once
