We're looking for an experienced print and packaging designer to execute designs and manage the packaging design workflow. This designer will report to the Brand Manager and Product Operation Manager and will coordinate all e-commerce and retail packaging initiatives for iFixit's parts and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads meetings with the design, marketing, and product operations teams to discuss packaging specifications and upcoming print deadlines. 
• Manage the packaging design request workflow from request and  ideation through approval and implementation. 
• Executes updates to current packaging and coordinates reviews with stakeholders in various departments. 
• Collaborates with product photographers and copywriters to finalize packaging text and graphics. Ensures packaging designs accurately represent the company's brand and ethos.
• Works with marketing team to develop packaging concepts for retail expansion.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Portfolio demonstrates expert use of  Adobe Creative Suite and CAD or AutoCAD.
• Experience working and communicating directly with manufacturing partners to ensure the accuracy of Graphics application and execution.
• Experience working with international packaging suppliers and printers is required. 
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design or a similar field preferred.
• Experience using sustainable packaging materials is a plus. 
• iFixit runs on Slack, Asana, Bynder, and Gsuite. Our designers have the ability to integrate our DAM and  project management tools into their workflow.
