IFROG IS CURRENTLY LOOKING TO ADD AN ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST TO OUR ADMINISTRATION TEAM. THE WORK FOR THIS POSITION TAKES PLACE IN AN OFFICE ENVIRONMENT (EASTON, MD). OCCASIONALLY, THE EMPLOYEE MAY BE GRANTED REMOTE WORK OPPORTUNITIES AS APPROVED BY THEIR MANAGER.

    OUR NEXT ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST WILL ANALYZE INFORMATION, MAINTAIN, COMPLETE AND ACCURATE RECORDS, ASSIST WITH ROUTINE ACCOUNTING DUTIES AND PROVIDE PROMPT, COURTEOUS RESPONSES TO INQUIRIES OR COMPLAINTS FROM CLIENTS, CUSTOMERS AND OTHERS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION. 

    DUTIES OF ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST: 

    • The ability to work from the office and hence in proximity with teammates. This essential function allows the Accounting Specialist to be observed by their Managers and work effectively alongside their teammates' in real time, to answer questions for them quickly, and to lead by example.
    • Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
    • Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
    • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
    • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
    • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
    • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
    • Communicating with clients to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.
    • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
    • Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
    • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
    • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
    • Collecting on past due accounts as needed. 
    • Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
    • Assist with general Human Resources operations as needed by the HR team. 
    • All other duties as assigned by management.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field required 
    • 2-3 years relevant experience in the Accounting field
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Considerable knowledge of Accounting principles and practices 
    • Working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations
    • Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Working knowledge of automobile dealerships
    • Previous experience working in NetSuite
    • Previous experience with processing payroll and familiarity with payroll rules and regulations
    • Previous experience with setting up State Tax accounts
